Summit 30/09 by Burns, Folkerts, Girard, Grieder, Horst, Smith, Winkler, Phura Kancha, Lhakpa Rita, Tshering Dorje and Kami Rita at 9:30 am.

Summit team slept on oxygen and left C3 at 2:30 am (NST). Weather was clear and calm. Not many people on the route. Straightforward climb. Good views from the summit: they saw Everest. They spent about 45 minutes on the summit, descended to C3 (1 pm), stopped for a rest and carried on to C2, where they arrived between 3:30 pm and 4:45 pm. On 1 Oct they descended to ABC.

Lionel and Teresa Lavenue reached ABC on 11 Sept; as Teresa is suffering from asthma and was not feeling well, they left ABC on 12 Sept and went back home.

Garret Madison never left Kathmandu as he was unable to obtain a visa for Tibet.

Oxygen taken and used from C3 to top to C3 by members. No oxygen for Sherpas.
