Morton and Folkerts met at Namche Bazar of 8 November. He had attempted Kusum Kangru solo and she had gone to a beach in Thailand, returned to Kathmandu on 2 November, and flown to Lukla on the 3rd.

They arrived at BC on 10 November. On the 13th, they occupied C1 and on the 14th they climbed to 6000m at the Yellow Tower, but then turned back to C1 because it appeared that a snowstorm was coming. On the 15th, there was some wind and clouds were coming in, so they retreated to BC to wait for better weather.

On the 18th, the weather had improved Morton, Folkerts and Phura Kancha, launched their summit push from BC. But at 5600m, Folkerts recurring stomach trouble flared up, and she "felt miserable," she said; she returned to BC that day. Morton went up to C1 only, while Phurba Kancha continued up to C2's site at about 6050m to retrieve the gear he ahd left there on the 14th. They both returned to BC on the 19th, and the climb was now finished.

Thus the members' high point was C1 on 18 November and their Sherpa's was C2 site at 6050m on 14 and 18 November.

Morton returned to Kathmandu on 22 November, but Folkerts stayed in Khumbu at Phura Kancha's home in Thami for two weeks.
