원정 개요

Summit team left C3 at 6 am. They left so late as they did not have a working stove, so brewing water took a long time. Weather was warm and calm. They used rope fixed by Koreans, spent 20 min on summit. Descended to C3, arrived at about 7 pm. On 22 May C1 where they were hit by a storm on 23 May BC.

Hudson reached 7300m on 30 April, which was supposed to be first summit push. They abandoned it due to high winds. They spent two nights at C2 and then returned to BC. Back at BC Hudson decided that he had to leave as he had to go back to work. He left BC on 16 May.

Michael Parker died 4 June in Kathmandu from edema after returning from Makalu.
