First summit push Filippi and Saikaly reached C1 on 25 May. They had to spend five nights at C1 due to snowstorm. They returned to ABC on 29 May. Last attempt started from ABC on 2 June to C1, 3 June to C2, 4 June to C3. When they reached C3 it was dark and snow storm started picking up. Sherpas did not go with climbers. Filippi and Saikaly could not find the cache left by their Sherpas at C3. Czech climbers told Filippi that they saw a bag little far away from their tent. Finally Saikally found the bag. They set up their camp, the storm continued. They had to spend whole day of 5 June inside the tent due to storm. Midnight of 5 June left C3 for summit. They were tired. Saikaly reached 8400m and Filippi was about 50m below. The fixed line was buried under deep snow. The snowstorm started again, then both the climbers returned to C3. Filippi arrived C3 between 3-4 in the morning. Saikaly arrived at 9 am of 7 June. Both descended to ABC same day. Next day to CBC. Phurba and Phinjo reached C3.
