High point on NW Face.
Had lot of fresh snow every day at BC. 12 Aug, 1st summit attempt from C2 to 7800m by Hubert and Lange; turned back by deep snow. 18th Hubert went by direct line and reached 7900m but snow falling heavily and avalanche danger too great. 22nd Hubert & Lange left C2 with tent which pitched at 7600m. 23rd 2:00 am from C3 and reached top at 11:00 am. With snow always deep just below knee to above hip required some rock climbing but safer from avalanches. All 3 attempts via direct line. On 23rd down to C2 and 24th to BC. 23rd very cold with strong wind; Hubert started 2 slab avalanches.
