Rampini climbed up to C2 on 18 May for his acclimatization and back to ABC on the same day. His plan was to summit from C2 using oxygen. Rampini tried to get a Sherpa to carry a tent and oxygen cyclinders to C2 but none of the Sherpas ageed to do the work for him. Then he quit. He returned to Kathmandu on 27 May and will leave either on 5 or 6 June.
