Paul Roose Everest Expedition - 2 June 2009

Roose and Pasang Sherpa left for the summit on 20 May at 5:30 pm. Roose became very tired at 8100m and returned to C4 while Pasang continued to the summit, where he arrived wtih Indian climbers at 6:15 am on the 21st. He rejoined Roose in C4 at 10:30 am.

Roose wanted to make another summit attempt on the 21st, but Pasang wouldn't permit him to go up again. Roose obeyed orders. They descended to C2 on the 22nd and BC on 23rd. Roose left BC on the 24th, while Pasang stayed there till the 26th.

Roose used oxygen in and from C4 to his high point to and in C4. Pasang used it from C4 to the top to C4.

Health problem: Roose said he had ripped some rib muscles by coughing very hard.
