Nielsen did not go to Cho Oyu. Originally Monterosa team was to leave Kathmandu on 9 April. Due to Chinese holidays Monterosa had to postpone its departure date for 11 April. Again the Chinese Embassy told Monterosa that visas for expedition members could not be issued before 14 April. Nielsen was upset about this delays and thought that there will not be enough time for climbing and he has decided not to go for climbing.
