On 31 Jan Massiani and Williamson left C2 at about 7 am for summit. When they reached about 5500m Massiani told Williamson that "she could not do it (climb today)." She was not sick - physically she was fit. Then both the climbers descended to C2 slept. On 1 Feb C1 and on 2 Feb to BC.

At BC Williamson got message from Gyalbu Tamang that Williamson has to be in Kathmandu for his wife's Australian visa processing. Williamson left BC on 5 Feb and returned to Kathmandu on 7 Feb. Massiani left BC on 8 Feb for trek to Gosainkunda and some other villages. She may return to Kathmandu on about 25 Feb. Massiani was nominated leader.
