Brunschweiler left C3 on 1 Oct at 8:30 am. Snow conditions were good and it was windy, but not cold. The Austrian Schobesberger couple had been at C4 when Brunschweiler arrived. They were all waiting for their Sherpa with the tent. However, he never arrived there as he had turned around at 7200m due to cold feet. Austrian couple left C4 at 6 pm and Brunschweiler was too tired, hungry and thirsty to join them. No energy.
