Summit team left 8 pm on 21 May. Weather was calm and clear. Team stayed on summit for one hour, then descended to C4, where they arrived between 7:10 am and 8:25 am. Three of the team (Sonam, Tenzin Lektso and Kumchok) stopped at Balcony. They found a climber from Oman, Al Ismaili, who was wrapped up in a sleeping bag and apparently left for dead. They found him alive and helped him down to C4. They lowered him down with ropes. When they arrived Tim Rippel's team was just about to leave. But they stopped them and handed over Al Ismaili over. After resting at C4 Abbey's team descended to C2 and arrived there at 3 pm.

Abbey reached C4 on 21 May. He did not join summit attempt as he wanted to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Tsering Yangkyi and Tsering Lhamo reached 7400m on 13 May and 20 May. They spent a night at C3 but did not join summit push as Lhamo had a problem with her knee and Yangkyi was mentally not prepared. They descended to C2 on 21 May.

(On 29 May, Phuntsok and Tenzi Lektso ran Everest Marathon; Phuntsok finished 3rd and Tenzin Lektso finished 4th.)
