Terramar Foundation Expedition to Himalayas - to Pumori

BC above lake and across hills
C1 only for deposit (never slept in).
Went to Island Peak before making BC for Pumori & 5 reached top on 4th Oct.
1st summit party returned C2 5 pm; problem with strong wind blowing powder snow, driving snow into faces "really horrible." 13th Oct winds less severe but there still C1 to C2 steep & very icy. C2 to shoulder not technically difficult but dangerous from big avalanches 4-5 times daily (4 am on 13th Oct high avalanche & another 10 mins after summiters had crossed avalanche area): "we were very nervous" but nonetheless climbed. Saw one falling to his death (not caused by avalanche but lost his balance).
On Island Peak Avardo slipped and broke one rib before attempt on this peak and was exhausted immediately.
