Jones and Lhakpa planned to sleep at C3 on 18 Oct for their summit push on 19 Oct. When Jones and Lhakpa arrived at 6300m, they met other climbers descending from C3 who told Jones that there were several icefalls and there was possibility of avalanche and that C3 was not safe. Jones decided to turn around and came down to C2. Next day to BC.

Jones returned Kathmandu on 23 Oct and will leave on 30 Oct. Jones had British and Irish passport and prefers to write his nationality as Irish.
