Pasang & Lyons left C1 at 7:30 am on 16 Sept Nepali time. Weather was terrific. They climbed to 6800m, but did not intend to climb higher that day. They descended to ABC. They stayed there for 3 days and ascended back to C1 on 9 Sept. That day Lyons was very slow (6 hours ABC to C1) and tired. They stayed 1 night at C1 and descended next day to ABC. On 23 Sept weather deteriorated which reinforced Lyon's decision not to go back up again. However, he had mentally decided to abandon climb on 20 Sept.
