Valentini left C3 at 9 pm on 17 May. Weather started off good. A bit of snow later but then again clear. When he got to summit there were about 10 people. He did not have problems without oxygen. He spent about 20 minutes on summit, then descended to C1 same day, where he arrived at midnight. He actually wanted to stay night at C2 but two Americans were sleeping in his tent. On 19 May he descended to BC.

Vian reached 7500m on 16 May. He descended to North Col the same day and stayed the night there. He did not feel well and abandoned climb.
