Whole team left C3 at 10:30 pm on 17 May. Weather was clear, but cold. Zuerner started off walking but had problem with oxygen mask. He started having hallucinations. He returned to C3 to lie down. He left C3 at 10 am and descended to C2 as weather had closed in. Guggemos and Nima Da Gyalzen spent about 30 minutes on summit with about 20 other people. They descended to C2 where they arrived at 4 pm. When they descended it started snowing heavily. On 19 May they descended together with Zuerner to ABC.
Zuerner got to about 8330m as he turned back pretty quickly.
