High point team left C4 at 10:20 pm. Clear skies but very windy (about 40 knots) and very cold. They had to break trail and were very slow. They were climbing together with Claude and Yann Boisvenue from another expedition. They stopped at Balcony (8360m) and waited for a storm to abide for about 2 hours, then carried on at sunrise about 5:30 am. At 9 am they decided to turn back as they all were too exhausted and weather did not improve. Filippi and Lhakpa Nuru together with Boisvenues descended to C2, where they arrived at 5 pm. Saikaly and Phinjo spent night at C3. On 20 May everybody descended to BC.

Dawa Sherpa reached C4 on 18 May but descended to C2 on 19 May due to cold (sore throat). He spent one night at C2 and descended to BC on 20 May.
