Due to bad weather team had to put an Intermediate camp at 6800 on 15 May.

On 18 May Caban and Matiasek left C3 at 04:15 hours/NST. At 07:30 hours they arrived at 7700m, then started strong wind. Both waited for half an hour, but wind did not stop. Caban and Matiasek turned around to C3 where they reached at 09:00 hours; same day descended to ABC at 19:00 hours. Wind was very strong and visibility was poor.

The team returned to Kathmandu on 22 May and will leave on 26 for Islamabad for Broad Peak and K2. Caban said that they spent 42 days trying to climb Xixbangma and almost everyday there was snowfall.
