C2 15 minutes right side of normal C2.
High point at small rib on North Face.
Porters went only to Miristi Khola camp (TBC) from which members had had to ferry loads to normal BC. Could not climb on Dutch Rib because rib was covered by hard crust over loose snow. High point was on very steep small rib, very unstable loose snow under crust, very dangerous. Back to C3 on 13th, down to C2 and discuss with other members, all agree too dangerous.
All members except Watzke reached C2 during climb; Watzke to C1 only. Big avalanches sent members running from BC on 4 Oct; came from face while eating breakfast and all fixed ropes between C1 and BC taken out. Left BC 17 Oct.
