BC at East Rongbuk Glacier
C2 at North Spur
C3 at North Spur (just below West Ridge)
C4 at West Ridge before steep rock section
C5 at bottom of Hornbein Couloir
High point just inside couloir.

Summit push by 4 members and 2 Sherpas who came from C3 from on 20 May through C4 to C5 late of evening of 20th. Left C5 for top at 11:00 pm (NST) - 18 inches of windslab snow on top of hard snow underneath; gained vertical meters in 2-3 hours; windslab sliding underneath them so abandoned attempt and down to C4. Whole climb abandoned because at that altitude avalanche conditions not going to change and risk unacceptable, so quit 25 May when all in BC.

All 20 climbing members got to C4; very strong team.
