Summit team left C3 at 11:30 pm on 24 May. Conditions and weather were perfect. Great views from top. On their way up they saw the German climber, Thomas Weber, at 3rd Step who later died. He was already uncoordinated. On descent they saw him again on 2nd Step. Klinke offered Harry Kikstra, Weber's guide, some Dex to inject into Weber but he declined. By the time Woolums got to Weber at 10 pm he was lying in the snow facing downwards on the edge of the bottom of the 2nd Step. He turned him around to facilitate his breathing but it was too late. Woolums spent about 30 minutes with Weber. The rest of the team had carried on descending. Woolums left Weber at abut 10:30 am to descend to C3. He was running out of oxygen. The whole team rested at C3 for about 2 hours. When bad weather moved in they decided to descend to C2 at 2 pm. They got to C2 at 4 pm. Klinke and Strang descended to C1 on summit day.

De Pineda got to C2 on 23 May but did not stay the night; he got a chest infection and returned to Kathmandu on 26 May.

Kodas got to C1 and stayed there for 2 nights from 8 May to 10 May; he abandoned climb due to health problems; he had colitus and had lost a lot of blood.

Moore got to C1 and stayed there for 2 nights from 8 May; he abandoned climb due to exhaustion and he could not take the challenge psychologically.

Driggs never arrived in Tibet; he had to return home before the team left for Tibet due to family reasons.

Pearsall got to C1 twice but she was very slow and had very low oxygen saturation.

Rapoport got to C1 twice but did not like the climb and left expedition on 21 May.

Searle got to 7500m on 8 May but gave up due to serious cough.
