Jijon tried without Sherpa and without oxygen.

He returned to KTM on June 2 and left on 10th.

Initially he agreed to meet me on the 5th of June. When I called Jijon on 5th, he refused to meet saying that what he did on mountain was his private thing and would not talk about it with anybody. However, he told me about his highest point on the mountain.

The UK Sunday Times reported on the internet that Jijon abandoned his attempt to rescue a Brazilian documentary-maker who had a panic attack at 8000m.
