Left C2 at 12:30 am of 27th with his Sherpa Temba, who had been with Boersma (who left mountain), Max Chaya and Chaya's Sherpa. Reached top together at about 2:30 pm. Planned to descend to C2 but had bad breathing problem and very tired, so decided to stay that night at C3 in tent he believes was Chaya's tent. 28th night Ratke and Temba shared Ratka's sleeping bag in impromptu biv at side of trail. 29th in BC, where Ratke rested several days to recover strength.
