Nov 03 Birraux, Verdier and Lhakpa Nuru Sherpa left C1 at 02:00 hours, summited at 11:00 hours, - spent about 10 minutes on top, back to C1 at 15:00 hours; then to BC at 16:30 hours. Birraux turned back from first summit about 6500m where he reached at about 08:00 hours. Birraux was exhausted and gave up climbing. Weather was very good - no wind.
Blanc and Buttay climbed up to C1 one time and remained at BC rest of the time. For them that was enough. They said that it was very cold.
