23 Sept 2 Coelhos left C3 3:30 am NST; reached summit plateau 2:00 pm, but very cold and windy (wind blew tracks away), so turned back to C3 at 5:30 pm. 25 Sept to C2. 24 Sept Mrs Coelho to C1 because not strong enough to try again now.

26 Sept Paulo Coelho to C3 and 27 Sept Paulo Coelho with many other teams to top. Left C3 3:30 am and on top 10:00 am (on top with many summiters but arrived alone). Saw Lhotse, Everest, etc with no clouds; spent one hour on top enjoying the "fantastic" view, thanking god to be in "a nice place" and taking pictures. Returned to C3 1:30 pm, down to C2 after rest at 3:30 pm.
