C1 at North Col.

Castillo, Partal Coca and Tashi left C3 at 02:00 hours NST on 22nd, summit at 13:00 hours, stayed 30 minutes, returned to C3 at 21:00 hours. Next day ABC. Partal Coca returned from Second Step. Weather was windy and cloudy. French did summit (Yves) almost same time. There were people from south side also.

Aguirre up to Second Step (8600m) on 21st, but bad weather. Arroya to C3 on 21st tired, so no summit attempt. Caso up to 8500m on 21st, bad weather. Garrido in C2 organizing summit attempt for other members. Molinos to ABC. Rodriguez up to Second Step on 21st, bad weather. Romero and Villar wanted to try, but there were no Sherpas for them to go with.

The expedition returned to KTM on 26th. Eighth member left on 27th, Garrido to leave on June 1st. Garrido telephoned and left message about Expedition's return.
