Summit party left C3 1:30 am (NST) for top with Guillemain and Edmundson; last 2 left attempt above rock band, both because lack of energy at about 7900m and stayed at C3. Also back with Guillemain were 2 Sherpas to help her (Jambu and Mingma Dorje). 4 successful men at top 8:30 am and back to C3 at noon. All down to C2 same day except Edmundson "just could not do it." 27th all in ABC. "You just can't believe you can take another step," said Edmundson of this climb, the "hardest in my life" though climbing all his life. Summiters could see no mountains in clouds, but reached prayer flags.
