원정 개요

1st climbed 3 peaks of 6200m and 6300m west of Nangpa La on 8 Sept and back to ABC. 13 Sept to Palung Ri summit via West Ridge (same route as Hillary in 1952).

Left ABC 26 Sept at 1:00 pm (NST) 2 members only. At C2 6:30 pm, Scott got diarrhea so they stayed 3 hours. Both left at 10:00 pm for top; on C3 12:30-1:00 am. Scott not strong enough to continue up so returned to C2 while Steve House on to top alone; ended having lost trail (it had been blown over) and gone too for right and then regained correct trail. On top 9:00 am, saw Everest group and large number of prayer flags. Both slept in ABC that night.
