From C4 Stingl and Tuerpe 22 May at 12:30 am. Tuerpe to South Summit turned back at 1:30 pm, using ropes fixed that morning by Indian expedition while Stingl to top at 5:00 pm. Stingl slept at C4 at 9:00 pm (with headlamp). Wiegand hoped to go to top starting on 22/23 night, but had to help Tuerpe. 2nd summit bid planned from South Col but weather bad. All in BC May 25 May.
Oxygen: taken to Everest and used by [Sirdar] Lhakpa Tshering (Khunde) while sick and by Mingma [Nuru] while he stayed at South Col. Members used none at all.
