Moreno and Robertson started up from C2 with Austrians for top; left C2 at 1:00 am on 27 April. Moreno to 8000m and Robertson to 8100m: white-out conditions so down to C2 and climb finished. (All five had been in C2 on 26/27 April). Lost $850 by other teams' refusal to pay $100 per expedition for costs of fixing rope first. Mountain very dry with ice conditions requiring more ropes than used.
