BC at 600m above normal site, moraine of Linshing Glacier
C1 just below West Ridge
High point on West Ridge.
9th Oct 2 men went up but found bad snow, snow deep (above knees) and storm coming. They went down to BC 11th Oct. 2 others went up but some problems; too dangerous to force route higher.
Return to Kathmandu to south along W Ridge western extension, all above 4000m. First time foreigners went by this difficult way constantly up and down (water problem), which took longer than normal route followed on approach.
