BC at southeast end of large lake due east of Kalapattar
C1 at bottom of ridge just northwest of Pt 5385m on NGS map
C2 at top of ridge ridge leads to SE Face
High point on SE Face.

2nd Oct 5 remaining members make C2. Snow very bad: knee deep soft snow after morning softens it: some days took 1 hr-20 mins to progress 25m. Many days snow falling. Arrived C2 2nd Oct morning 10:30. 3rd Oct 2 am 4 members go on up. Garcia stayed in C2 with stomach ailment. 4 planned to make summit and return to C2 same day. 3:30-4 am Garcia heard fatal avalanche near tent. 6 am Garcia down from C2 to BC noon same day. 4th Oct Garcia tried to go again to C2 but turned back by deep snow.
