C2 on SW Face next to pillar.

C1 and C2 were already established by Sherpas before the arrival of team. April 14 Christensen, Granlien, Mathone, and Norreslet spent night in C1; on 15th Lopez joined them. April 16 Christensen, Gebelli, Lopez and Maixe spent night in C2. On 17 one member to BC.

Between April 16-May 4 route making between C2->C3. On 4 May Christensen, Gebelli and Lopez spent night in C3. On 5th all went down to BC and Lopez spent night in C2. On 13th Christensen spent night in C3. On 18th, 19th, 20th A Christensen, B Christensen, Granlien, Mathone, Norreslet and 4 Sherpas spent nights in C4 (two tents).

On 19th at 10:30 pm Granlien, Norreslet and 2 Sherpas left C4, summited at 6:30 am of 20th, returned to C2 about 5 pm.

On the 20th night A Christensen without oxygen, B Christensen and Mathone with Nima and Angchi approached towards summit. B Christensen returned to BC. Mathone reached to South Summit about 08:00 am and returned due to high wind. A Christensen returned from 8750m to C4. Nima Dawa got to summit.

Member A Christensen probably the first Dane to reach 8700m without oxygen.

Leader/expedition doctor suffered from bronchitis and some fever. He was under medication for whole of last month. Leader expressed satisfaction not only having team summit but doing some climbing on Everest.

Thrane, the sponsor, arrived on April 20 but had to return from Thyangboche. Left Nepal first week of May, due to urgent business matter.
