C1 at the beginning of ridge
C2 at top of Yellow Tower
C3 beneath the Dablam.
All members reached C2. Six members to C3. They had to abandon due to heavy snow and other reason as told was shortage of their own ropes. This they consider as their bad luck.
The German team agreed to allow them to share their ropes and had planned to attempt the summit together on the 17th. But the Germans had to retreat due to a very sick member. They did not leave their ropes; they even took off some of the ropes fixed over the col. The team feels betrayal by the Germans. Earlier the German team told them that any team using their fixed ropes had to pay money. The Norwegians had a very bad experience with the attitude of Germans - talking to charge money for every bit of cooperation. The team leader said probably they would complain to the German Alpine Club about this non-cooperative attitude in the mountain. The Germans also had lied to them saying that the major portion of fixed ropes between C1-C3 belongs to them. Later they realized that the ropes were fixed by the Swiss expedition.
The Swiss, French and Spanish expedition teams were very cooperative. The sirdar Tashi Tshering, as told by the leader is 7-time summiteer of Everest - very good and efficient. It was his first time to work as sirdar.
The team arrived Kathmandu on the morning of 23rd and will be leaving on 25 and 26 Oct.
