27 Sept down to BC to rest especially 60-year-old member Soria but should have continued up. 30th am started snowing and continued to 8 Oct - 2m snow in BC. Weather cleared but tents in both camps and ropes under snow. 9 Oct started breaking trail and finally slept in C1 on 14th and C2 15th, but 17-19th snow fell - another 1-1/2m snow fell. 18th down to BC. Weather cleared 20th and cold see C3 had been avalanched away. Decided too dangerous to continue on 20th. Went to C1 22nd (where not so dangerous) to retrieve gear. "We lost our chance in Sept." Expedition was organized to film Soria climbing Manaslu to summit.
