26 May 1st summit bid - 2:00 am NST Martini Lago, Samdu and Valentini left C3 and started up. Valentini 1 hour (100m) up, tired and down to C1. On top Martini 11:30 am, Lago 12:30 pm and Samdu 12:25 pm and Lago to C3 Martini and Samdu to C2. 27th all to ABC.
Leviti on 27th May tried for top with another expedition but reached 8400m and turned back, tired.
Martini 8000m "finished for me." He had no sponsors as climb was "for me," but not stopping climbing and may go back again to 8000m.
Samdu Sherpa, 19/10/69?, friends say 25 years, village Makalu VDC.
