C3 established 22 May, not slept because of bad weather returned then ferried other stuff - they lost some stuff.
Took an hour and half from the plateau to the summit. The weather was bad, too cloudy and windy. Larin started from C3 at 5:30 am; Abramov started at 5:40 am; then Abramova at 6:00 am; Khokhlov, Cherny and Yelagin started at 7:00 am. Started at different times because it took time to get ready. Cherny, Khokhlov, Larin slept at C3. Abramov, Abramova, Yelagin slept at C2.
It was the first summit bid by Russians. On 23 May 2 Austrians left C3 but returned because of bad weather. Lack of acclimatization. On 22 May two Austrians summited.
