2 members [Speer and Tauchnitz] slept in a tent at 7100m 30 April because whiteout prevented going higher; 2 others on 1 May 7100m camp slept in by Rieck and Tuerpe who planned to go to top from there but again weather sent them down again. Storm on 5th May. Ziegler and Kraus took tent from 7100m and took it to 7500m. Ziegler turned back too tired to continue while Kraus on to top at 12:30 pm NST and saw Everest, down to C3 to sleep.

6th May Rieck and Tuerpe from C1 8:00 am, on 11:00 am C2, left C2 at 9:30 pm and went directly to top at 1:30 pm on 7th; caught up with Spanish Abrego members and their Sherpa; the Sherpa went to top with Germans. Germans slept in C3 that night, all expedition members slept in C2.
