Pustelnik and Pawlowski arrived before rest of team and set up BC, ABC, and C1 before their arrival. Margueritte flew in by helicopter with them, got seriously ill in ABC and had to be evacuated by helicopter about 29 Sept.

Weather got bad with very high winds when team got to C3 and never climbed above Makalu La. Spent week in BC due to snowfall then again to C3 but wind too strong and last visit was on 15 Oct and slept one night. C3 slept in by all members except Dorr, Gozdnik, Margueritte between 26 Sept and 15 Oct.
