24 Sept left C2 for summit: both members and Phurba Tshering Sherpa from C2 4:00 am and to 8250m at 2:00 pm by Ugno and Sherpa and then returned because not sufficient oxygen supply to carry on to top and not enough time. Hashimoto stopped at 8000m because fixed rope not above this altitude. Now climb finished because no rope, food and oxygen left for 2nd attack; had brought enough for only one summit bid.
