High point in Icefall.

There was no attempt to climb Nuptse. Reason for permit was to give Williams client, Ralph Glasgal, an opportunity to go into Khumbu Icefall which is all he wanted to do. Glasgal went into Icefall on about 25 April with Pemba Tshering Sherpa, climbed to about 5700m turned around same day and went home happy. Williams met him in Icefall by chance in William's descent to BC from work with Himalayan Kingdom's (Walsh leader) Everest expedition on which Williams was a guide.

Williams & Leonard made no attempt on Lhotse also, concentrated on Everest, got to South Summit on 25 May and weather was deteriorating so retreated and climb finished.
