19 May tried for top and reached South Summit and down to C2 same day. 23rd from BC to C2; 24 May arrived South Col; 24th left col 9:30 pm, on South Summit 25th 4:00 am and 5:55 am on top and for one hour; to C4 10:30 am slightly before Malaysians and then to BC (waited 2 hours at icefall top for Icefall to freeze) and at BC 7:40 pm, not tired. "I was very good (strong), 2nd time" and "very happy" - wants K-2 next in 2001, McKinley in 1999.
(In autumn 94 Bernard reached 8300m on north side and then wind defeated his effort).
