All Japan Himalayan Expedition 1963
Sponsored by Ministry of Education Japan; Nippon Tel and Telephone Public Corporation; Nishinippon Press to climb Himlung Himal 7126m in Gandaki Region of Himalaya Range in Central Nepal - main peak (7126m peak) is 25 km north of Manaslu. Will start scaling it from Binta Kothi (3810m) the innermost village on the Dudh Khola, then probably western glacier. Basecamp to be at 4200m at innermost course possible of glacier; C1(4700m), C2(5250m), C3(5700m), C4(6250m), C5 on ridge about 6700m on north left side of main peak. From C5 to top in 2 tries between May 10 and 17.
