BC south of Swiss BC and south of smaller lake WSW of West Col
C1 at West Col
C2 east of SE Ridge
High point at bottom of small ridge.

Planned C2 at 6700m but Swiss camped at 6400m so Dutch Sherpas said their camp at 6400m also. 11th Oct first summit attempt by 3 members and 3 Sherpas; at 6500m (after 1 hour) Timmer not well and turned back. 2 other members [Wesselius and Vreugdenhil] and 2 Sherpas on up to 7000m to small ridge where snow very soft powder very difficult to go further and back to C2.

12th Oct 2 Sherpas went up to find another way to pass difficult part but couldn't find one and did not go above same 7000m place. On 11th hadn't had enough snow bars, rope, etc with them to make ascent, so attempt to reach main summit stopped.

14th 3 members and 2 Sherpas from C2 started for "Little Baruntse" 6730m, south-southeast of main peak and De Boer succeeded with Karma and Tshering; took 8 hours from C2 to this peak (6:00 am to 2:00 pm and down to BC).

On 15th Oct watch 3 people (Russians?) go up this teams's route, traverse at 7000m and go to summit and in swift and expert ascent.
