From C4 on 22nd at 11:30 pm were 6 summiters and Edwards and Norbu (Rolwaling); Edwards turned back at 8500m (on his 3rd attempt on Everest) because loss of vision in one eye related to altitude and Norbu back down with him "but I did my job: I was hired to put Jamie and Alan on the top" (other team did its job - Jeff and Jason were hired).
We participated in 3 rescues:
Dave Carter of Guy Cotter's team
Hugo Rodriguez of OTT team
Karsang Sherpa of Italian Lhotse Team
(Edwards pulled into crevasse and pulled and got him out -
cheek pulled open - Rovira and Cotter's Dr stitched his face)
Matous never went to Khumbu because of slipped discs (during long flight to Nepal?). Jason Edwards became leader.
