On top on 6 May Walter and Wiegand 3:00 pm NST and Leupold at 5:00 pm and Leupold reached C3 tents 1 minute before dark; had reached C3 on 5 May in strong weather but 6 May clear morning but by 2:00 pm clouds came from east and south and whiteout at summit (found pole and cross) and Leupold saw Everest in clear weather having followed footprints all the way to pole and cross.
