A pre-Everest expedition organised by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation put 12 climbers on the summit in September. They followed the glacier between Forked Peak and Kabru Dome. The expedition was led by Col D. K. Khullar.
Pre-Everest Camps:
The IMF Pre-Everest Camp-cum Expedition in the Sikkim Region was held under the leadership of Principal, H.M.I., from Sept 4 to Oct 2 were able to reach the summit of Kabru Dome.
