ABC at top of rock buttress of SE Face
C1 at top of spur/narrow snow ridge of SE Face.
On 6 Nov Hartland & Halliwell left BC, slept at ABC; 7th to C1; 8th at 5:30 am left for top, Halliwell got to East Ridge and 150 vertical meters below top and turned back because worried about windslab above while Hartland kept on with no problem despite some deep snow which had settled since Habeler had been there and turned back. On top at 11:30 am and returned to C1 at 3:30 pm with Halliwell. All members reached C1 but only Hartland and Halliwell went higher.
