BC at east side of ridge coming south from West Peak
C1 at east side of South Ridge = South Face
C2 at east side of South Ridge = South Face
C3 on SW Ridge
C4 at north side of West Ridge near its junction with SW Ridge and South Ridge.

Heavy snow in first part of Oct. Broke tents at C1 and C2 and made new camps before establishing C3. Then to summit on 27 Oct.

Another summit bid 30 Oct by Nam with 2 Sherpas but turned back because strong wind broke tents at C3 and had to descend. Now no food.

High-very steep snow face from C2 to snow hole bivouac site at 6800m. Team fixed 1800m rope on mountain.

Villagers nearest to BC said they had never seen foreigners before.
