BC at lower than normal site
C1 at bottom of scree slope, below normal C1
C3 shared C with Simonson's team.

Saved life of Latvian doctor and spent lots of effort pumping Gamov bags for other European lightweight expeditions with proper BC. BC 2 hours walk below normal BC site because vehicles couldn't reach it. Same problem with ABC which yaks couldn't reach. Russell Brice summited from C1 in 11 hrs and 2 hrs back to C1 while others to top went from C3 and back to C3. Brice was 2nd on top with Peter Reynal-O'Connor - 1 hr on top earlier.


Brice - 26 May (by phone):

Brice left their C1 at 12:30 am of 16th May on top at 11:30 am and down to C1 at 2:30 pm. 1st on top that day with Peter having waited 10 minutes for him - passed other 5 between 6:30 and 7:00 am on ascent; had carried loads to 6800m and 7400m, then a rest day before ascent. "Was on holiday" (not working as a guide with clients).
